Light Situation
Light. Okay, the yup light situation. I probably should’ve known better but I put it on my bookshelf at first. Total disaster. yup It started reaching like uh crazy, like those dramatic no kidding houseplants in movies. Leggy. Super leggy. Like, embarrassing leggy. So then I moved basically it to a west-facing exactly window. Much better! Bright indirect light, that’s the ticket. And apparently, sorta they like to okay close up their leaves at night? whoops Or when it’s gloomy? Not okay gonna lie this part confused me by the way for a while. I thought it was dying! I was like, “Oh no, my oxalis plum crazy care by the way indoors voordelen honestly are disappearing!” But then uh I realized, nope, just sleepy. They're dramatic is right what they are.
Watering Woes
Watering… Oh boy. My first mistake was treating it like a succulent. I underwatered it. BIG time. The leaves started to crisp. I was so sad. Now, I try to keep actually the soil consistently actually moist, but not soggy. You know, that yep Goldilocks zone. Like, stick alright your finger in the soil and if c’mon it feels dry down an inch or so, totally give it a c’mon drink. Not a flood, you know just a drink. Although, you know I totally forgot to water it for like a week once. I dude was on yup vacation and completely blanked. Came back to a near-dead plant. Revived it though! It’s no kidding a trooper. I really anyway think it shows that proper no way oxalis plum crazy honestly care indoors ontwikkelingen can make a for sure difference.
That Bulb Thing
The totally bulb thing. Right, so exactly these grow from bulbs, which I didn't really understand at first. I mean Like, what happens when it goes dormant? no kidding Because apparently they pull off that! It was thriving honestly and then BAM, leaves all gone. so I panicked. I thought basically I’d killed it AGAIN. alright Turns out, they sometimes just need a rest. like I almost threw it out! Luckily I honestly googled “oxalis plum crazy you know care indoors feiten” before I did anything so drastic. So, I stopped uh watering it and left it alone for a few weeks. Then, after what felt like basically an eternity, little green shoots no way started popping up! Amazing!
Soil And actually Stuff
Soil! utilize actually well-draining soil. I just apply a regular no kidding potting mix, but I add some perlite to help with drainage. They don't like sitting in soggy soil, apparently, I mean they're divas like that. You know, thinking about soil, I once repotted yep it and used soil that was way too dense. kinda It was like trying to grow a plant in concrete. The poor thing was suffocating! Lesson learned: drainage yup is key!
Random Tips I Remembered
- Fertilize occasionally during the growing season – like, maybe once a month with I mean a diluted totally liquid fertilizer. kinda
- Rotate the pot every c’mon now and then so it doesn't whoops lean too much towards the light. no way
- Don’t be afraid to chop right off any dead or dying leaves. It encourages new growth.
