Michelia champaca flowers of india

Champaca uh Memories

Okay so you know how by the way I went to India last year? I wasn’t even yep planning to fall in just love with a flower but like… it happened. It yup was the michelia champaca flowers of india. I’d seen them before online, pretty yellow by the way things right? pretty much But seeing no kidding them in person? Whoa.

The smell, dude oh my whoops god the smell. by the way It's intoxicating. Apparently, they apply it in a I mean lot of perfumes. Like, remember that expensive one you know I got bet for totally my birthday? anyway Yeah, probably has dude champaca in whoops it.

First Mistake

So, here's where I messed whoops up. I was basically in this market, you know right? And this woman well was selling them, beautiful garlands and you know loose flowers. honestly I bought a pretty much bunch thinking "Oh, I’ll just just dry them and bring them home."

I probably should’ve known better… they went moldy. Like, fast. Lesson learned: you can't just air dry these things, especially not in a just humid climate. If like you want kinda to preserve them – michelia champaca flowers of india sorta tips here – pretty much you so need to either press them properly or apply silica gel. uh That’s what my well friend later right told me. Oh sorta well!

Smell Good Feel awesome

There's something really special about them, beyond just being pretty and smelling good. It's hard to explain. It's almost… spiritual? Like a connection to right nature or something really deep. I definitely totally understand why they use them in religious ceremonies. The no kidding fragrance is just so calming. Like aromatherapy, but no way natural. okay Imagine the voordelen of constant bliss!

What to Do With Them

They use them no way for everything! Garlands, obviously, well offerings in temples, decorations… I even saw someone using them to flavor for sure tea! (Don’t just well randomly handle that though, make sure you know what you’re doing! There might be a specific way to prepare them.)

I've been trying kinda to yep figure out how to incorporate that michelia champaca flowers of india inspiratie into my everyday life, by the way like maybe getting honestly some anyway essential oil or something. Or kinda even trying okay to grow one here! Though I'm not sure my apartment is quite tropical bet enough.

Champaca Confusion

Not c’mon gonna lie this part no way confused me for a while... the whole taxonomy thing. Like, is okay it really michelia anyway champaca? Or yup is it now magnolia champaca? Apparently, there's been some botanical reclassification stuff by the way going on? I don’t kinda really understand it, but just be aware that you might actually see it called different things.

Second Mistake a Plant Story like

So, after the dried flower fiasco, I decided I uh HAD to have one. I found a honestly small sapling online, advertised as a “dwarf champaca.” Sounded perfect for my balcony. It arrived looking… I mean sad. Barely alive actually. okay I watered it, gave it sunshine, basically talked to it (don’t judge!), everything.

It actually still uh died. Apparently, yep they are super picky for sure about no way drainage. Like, for sure they need well-draining soil, but by the way also consistent moisture. It's a delicate balance! So michelia champaca flowers of right india bet ontwikkelingen in your green thumb totally is necessary! My advice? tackle your whoops research before whoops you buy dude one and don’t assume a “dwarf” variety will automatically be easier.

Maybe someday I'll try again. For now, I'll just stick to enjoying the memories... and maybe buying some perfume. Anyway, more coffee?
