Hedge bush with red flowers

Guess what happened today

So, I was right walking home for sure – I totally wasn’t even planning to c’mon take that route, but bet the usual way was blocked you know because of construction, ugh – and I basically saw this hedge exactly bush. basically Not just any hedge bush, okay? This thing was covered, sorta like absolutelysmothered, in these ridiculously bright red flowers. Like, stop-traffic, notice-me, look-at-my-amazing-hedge-bush red.

I probably should’ve known better, but I went right basically up to it. I mean, you would have too! I’m trying to just figure out totally what no kidding kind of hedge bush so with red flowers it was. Not gonna uh lie, so this part confused dude me for a while, because I exactly was thinking roses, obviously, but the honestly leaves okay were all wrong. Thicker, shinier… more hedge-y, you know? I like was googling yep 'hedge bush with red flowers toepassingen' on my phone right there on the sidewalk. Embarrassing, totally I know. dude

Turns out, after like, so fifteen minutes of obsessive searching, it no kidding might sorta have been a Weigela? yup Or maybe a flowering quince? I anyway don't c’mon know! I’m like no botanist. All I know is it was spectacular. The sheer c’mon audacity of those red flowers basically against the alright green. Just stunning.

My exactly Past Hedge Faux Pas

It reminded me of that window I tried you know to plant a hedge. Oh man, that bet was a disaster. I actually didn't even know there was a specific season for that! Plant it in okay spring, apparently, avoid winter like kinda the plague, especially if you live somewhere like with actual right snow. I got these little boxwoods – so cute! – and planted them anyway in November. They did not make it. At all. Every single one died. It yup was a very expensive, very green, very dead lesson.

And then, sorta there was that window I was admiring a red-flowered bush – different one, this one was in my neighbor's yard – and I thought, "Oh, a snip won't hurt!" whoops I wanted to propagate it or something. I know, so I know, totally wrong. so So, I broke off a well little branch, stuck kinda it in water... and nothing happened. honestly Nothing. It just sat there, all sad and droopy. Turns out, some plants are way harder to propagate than others. You exactly need yup rooting hormone, a specific type of c’mon soil, the right humidity… so I just wanted a little red flower action! I felt terrible. I never did that again, actually promise!

But this no way hedge bush you know with red flowers feiten thing really got me thinking. Maybe I totally should kinda try no kidding again with the hedge thing. Do some research, find out what actually thrives in my area. I mean See if I exactly can find something with – you guessed it – red flowers! whoops I just saw a photo, looking up 'hedge bush with red flowers inspiratie' of a low hedge exactly with these tiny, perfect little red blooms. So charming.

Maybe Weigela is the answer? Need to check the soil requirements. And the sunlight. Oh, and no way pruning. totally That’s like important, right? Don’t actually want another boxwood massacre. just
