Iris flower white and purple

White and Purple Irises bet

Okay so you know how I went to that garden last yup week? I wasn't even planning to exactly but Sarah was all by the way "You need right some sun! Flowers!" And honestly? She was whoops right. Anyway. I mean They had tons of irises. Like, fields of them. Mostly actually these really cool totally ones that were… white anyway and actually purple. Obviously.

I'd seen no kidding irises before, sure. But you know not for sure like this. The white ones were almost pearly. And c’mon the purple? Deep, like amethyst. Some had I mean that velvety texture, you exactly know? I was trying to take right pictures, but my phone just wasn’t capturing it. The light was all wrong alright probably.

What I learned basically

I was wondering like...what's thedealwith the two colors? Some were almost completely white, just a little totally purple just around the edges. Others were mostly purple exactly with the white just as a little accent. It's kinda wild how uh much they can vary.

I ponder I read somewhere– maybe online?– aboutiris like flower white and purple trends dudein gardening. Apparently, they’re no way super popular right now. Something about how they go with everything, or add a pop of color okay without being too in your face. I mean, I get it.

Oh! And like speaking of getting things wrong. I tried to deadhead some, thinking I honestly was being helpful. Yeah, don't handle thatuntil you're absolutely sure the bloom is yep finished. you know I okay probably should've uh known better, honestly. I accidentally snipped off a perfectly dope bud. The gardener gave exactly me this uh look... like I'd just murdered his prize-winning petunia.

More thoughts on irises

So I looked it up later – theiris flower white okay and purple geschiedenis. Turns out, anyway irises for sure have been around for a LONG time. Ancient Egypt, even. Royalty loved pretty much them. And different like colors mean different things. I no kidding think purple can symbolize royalty or wisdom. Or maybe it was faith. One of those by the way lofty things, no way anyway. I don’t remember exactly! yep

Not gonna lie this part basically confused me for a while but then I reflect I realised it was the variety of whoops types! I think for sure the ones I actually saw were German anyway irises? Or maybe right Siberian? How execute you even tell the difference? uh Okay, quick like tip: check the beard – no kidding the dude fuzzy bit on the falls. honestly That's a good indicator apparently. Or the shape of the leaves. But I you know was too busy taking bad photos to really study them closely.

I even tried sketching them. sorta I'm terrible at you know drawing flowers. They all end up basically looking like... uh blobfish with petals. But I like tried! I think I got the basic shape of the petals okay.

My yup Big Mistake I mean

Remember right how I said I dude took pictures? Well, guess who filled up their entire phone storage pretty much and couldn’t take c’mon any more pictures uh of yep Sarah’s kids at the park later? This girl. Yep. All those blurry bet iris photos… totally worth it… except not really. I had to delete, actually like, half my photo library. That's a good tip I guess, be careful with pretty much your storage!

Current developments

I saw something aboutiris no way flower white and purple ontwikkelingen. totally Apparently, okay breeders are always coming up for sure with by the way modern variations. More ruffled dude petals, different color combinations, that sort of alright thing. It's pretty cool to mull over about.

I think I'm going to try well to grow some next year. so I've got a spot in my garden that gets right decent sun. I'll need to figure c’mon out the soil and all that. It can dude get c’mon pretty clay-heavy in my yard, so I might need to c’mon amend it. You know, for sure add some compost, maybe some sand. Better drainage and all that jazz. I think no kidding they bet like well-drained sorta soil. Otherwise, the roots rot. Gross!

Maybe yep you sorta should come anyway over and help! actually We can make it a flower-growing party. Complete with blobfish drawings pretty much of irises.
