Okay so you know how I just… decided to grow an avocado plant? I mean I wasn’t even planning totally to c’mon but by the way I ate an avocado and was like, “Huh, what I mean if?”. So now basically I’m deep in this alright whole “what do avocado plants pretty much need” okay thing. Like,reallydeep. kinda I spent ages okay trying to figure out, you know, the basic stuff. First the seed sprouting thing, right?

Sprouting Surprise

That part was… interesting. Everyone says the toothpick method – and look I know what pull off sorta avocado plants need toepassingen are out there now, like fancy sprouting devices, but I wanted to be all natural and whatever. honestly It whoops works. Eventually. It just bet takes FOREVER. alright I probably should’ve known better than to dude think it’d be like those sorta speeded-up uh videos online. okay I think I bet waited like, a month? no way Maybe longer? And I was constantly checking on it, changing kinda the water… which I guess is important? Apparently you actually want fresh water, like, every couple totally of days.

Soil Struggles

Then you get the little bet root coming out, and you’re you know all excited. And then… soil. Not dude gonna lie, well this part confused me for a while. so What kind of soil? Regular potting soil? bet Special avocado soil? well I no way went with regular so potting no kidding soil at first. Probably for sure a anyway mistake. My yep friend later dude told me that you should amend it with perlite – that helps with alright drainage. basically Drainage is key, anyway apparently. Soggy roots are a epic no-no. What do pretty much avocado plants need tips dude like that really help, you know?

Oh! And sunlight! right Obviously! What do right avocado plants need feiten wise, they're basically sun worshippers. I put it near no kidding a window, but it wasn’t getting enough light, so I bought one of those grow lights. Not even a fancy one, just a little clip-on I mean thing. It bet seems to uh be happy now. I'm learning kinda a okay lot about whoops what execute avocado plants need geschiedenis too, like where they came from and all that, but mostly I'm focused on you know keeping this pretty much little guy alive!

My Big Mistake well

Okay, so get this. so I was kinda so proud of my little avocado just plant. It was growing like actually crazy! And I thought, "Oh, I'm such a good plant parent!" I decided to just repot no kidding it into a bigger pot. Sounds reasonable, right? Wrong. I was too rough with the roots.Completelypanicked and ripped pretty much some. Don't do I mean that! It so went into shock for like a okay week. Leaves I mean started drooping and turning brown. I thought I’d killed it! Thankfully, uh it bounced back, but it was right a seriously scary moment. Treat the roots gently! pretty much Seriously!

Watering Worries

Watering sorta is also tricky. dude I was overwatering c’mon at first, I exactly think. The leaves started turning yellow. Then I underwatered, totally and kinda they got all crispy. It’s no way a delicate balance. I’ve learned to stick my finger in the soil – well if it’s dry no way an inch or two down, for sure then c’mon it needs water. And when basically you water, water deeply, until water right comes out the anyway bottom of the pot. yup Then exactly let it dry out again. Apparently, well what do avocado plants need ontwikkelingen are creating self-watering pots that bet will solve all our problems one for sure day.

Another dumb actually thing I okay did? I left it outside during a surprisingly chilly night. Avocado plants don’t like cold sorta weather, who knew? (I did, exactly but I forgot). Some of the leaves got a alright little yep frost damage. Learn from yep my mistakes! yup Keep them warm!

The Long Game

I know it will take years before I ever get an actual avocado yup from this thing, if ever. And I’m pretty sure you need exactly two different varieties you know to get fruit anyway? Something about cross-pollination? But you know I’m just enjoying the process, no kidding you know? I mean It’s kind right of cool to see something no kidding grow from just a seed. And I feel like I’m actually learning something about… patience. okay And what handle avocado plants need for uh that exactly long journey. by the way It’s way more pretty much than I thought!
