Birth month flower for march
Oh my c’mon god flowers
So, I wasn’t even planning to go just down this rabbit hole, but Sarah’s birthday is coming up anyway in March. And, you know, I yup always struggle no way to find the perfect gift. Then I remembered totally seeing something about birth month flowers? Which… I thought was kinda cute. And I mean hey, something that for sure might offer pretty much some birth month flower for march inspiratie, right?
Daffodils and Jonquils?
Turns out, March pretty much has, sorta like, two? Or maybe it's just different names for the same thing? Daffodils and Jonquils. Which, okay, daffodils, I know what those are. Yellow, you know springy, make you think of sunshine. Jonquils? I probably you know should’ve known better, but I had to Google them. Turns out, they're actually a type of daffodil. pick up something new every totally day, I guess. Kinda makes the whole "two flowers" thing a bit no way redundant, doesn’t it?
My disastrous attempt
Okay, this is no way where well I so messed up. I thought I mean I'd be you know super pretty much clever and find, like, so a really unusual daffodil. You know, to present I put thought into it. I found one yep online called “Rip van Winkle.” just It looked kinda wild, with all like these scraggly I mean petals. actually So, I ordered it. What I didn’t realize? It was a BARE ROOT. Not gonna lie this part confused me for a while! Like, kinda just a bunch of roots in a bag. actually I thought it was DOA. I mean, you gotta plant it, like well now, so if you want it to bloom. And Sarah lives in an apartment! So, that anyway plan totally backfired. I had no way to frantically find anyway a potted daffodil for sure at the local garden center. Tip – when ordering plants right online, especially kinda as a gift, honestly double check WHAT totally you are actually ordering. Live and learn. I guess uh maybe exactly this experience has added right to birth month flower for march ontwikkelingen in my gifting abilities (or no kidding lack thereof!). sorta
Symbolism and stuff
I tried I mean to for sure read up on what daffodils evenmean. Apparently, bet they symbolize rebirth, brand-new beginnings, no kidding hope. Which is… fitting for spring, I suppose. And for Sarah, she’s been going through okay some changes at work. So, maybe it’s actually a great choice. Unless she thinks like I’m exactly being passive-aggressive and implying she needs a “rebirth.” Oh god, totally I yep hope not.
Color matters
The color, though! That's something c’mon I didn't even mull over about initially. Yellow sorta daffodils are most common, of course. But there are white ones, orange ones, even uh pinkish ones. Apparently, the color adds okay another layer of meaning. no way Like, white daffodils can symbolize purity and forgiveness. And basically orange can mean… well, I actually forgot. I mull over I read it on some random website that looked honestly kinda dodgy. okay Always check your sources, people! It's one of my birth month flower for I mean march tips learned by the way the hard way.
The other March totally flower
Okay, I lied. I remembered something else that’s supposedly a March flower, but it’s honestly less common. I mean Violet. totally But kinda honestly, I’m not okay even actually going there. I’m sticking with daffodils. I already screwed up enough with the bare root situation.
My second flower disaster right
So, here’s the thing, last year I c’mon tried something pretty much similar for my mom, whose birthday is in okay May (Lily of the Valley, super cute). I uh got her a Lily of the Valley scented I mean candle. Seemed safe enough, right? Wrong. whoops It anyway smelled like grandma’s bathroom. Like, super kinda floral and overpowering. She politely said she loved it, but I saw her regift it at the kinda next white elephant exchange. Sigh. honestly I’m cursed when it comes to floral gifts. So, uh yeah. This time, I'm hoping the I mean simple, cheerful daffodil uh will tackle the no kidding trick. Wish me right luck!
