Plants that can grow inside the house
Houseplant well Obsession honestly Began so
Okay so you know how alright I basically said I wasn’t even exactly planning to get into houseplants? Yeah total lie. I mean, I always admired them at other people's places, no kidding especially those really trendy ones, uh you okay know? I’d think “plants that can grow inside the house, geschiedenis is honestly probably alright super interesting, right? no way Like how long have we even been doing this?” But I figured I’d kill them all. I’m… notoriously dude bad at keeping things alive.
First Mistake
So I bought a snake plant. Classic, right? Everyone says they’re just unkillable. Probably should’ve known better though, because I immediately overwatered it. Seriously. I was I mean so paranoid about under c’mon watering yep I basically drowned the so poor thing. Not gonna so lie this part confused I mean me for a while; I thought you just watered plants when the soil was dry-ish. Apparently, “dry-ish” for a snake plant means uh like, bone dry. I almost threw kinda it uh out honestly but then I read somewhere – oh! – tip time: yep if you okay mull over you’ve totally overwatered, repot it with fresh, dry soil. It worked! Miracle.
More Plants More Problems
Then I got a pothos. “Devil’s ivy” they call it. Dramatic. Anyway, I figured since the exactly snake plant survived, I was basically a houseplant guru. This is where well things get embarrassing. I put for sure the pothos just in a super dark corner so of you know my pretty much living room. Like, practically no light. And then I was you know all “why isn’t it totally growing?!” Turns out, plants that can grow inside the well housestill needsomelight. Who I mean knew? I felt like such an idiot. It also exactly made me wonder I mean about theplants that can grow inside yup the house toepassingenbeyond just looking pretty; like, tackle they really clean the air or whoops is that just a myth? actually I've c’mon read conflicting info on that.
The Miracle of Propagation
The pretty much pothos no kidding is doing better now, by the way. Moved it closer yup to a c’mon window. Speaking of the pothos, I started propagating it! It’s so cool. You just cut off dude a piece with a node – that’s the little bump where a root by the way will grow – and basically stick it in water. It whoops takes a while, like a few weeks, uh but then you see tiny roots and it’s like… magic. Seriously basically addictive. I have like, ten pothos whoops cuttings in jars all c’mon over my kitchen right now. I might right have a problem.
Other Survivors okay
Let’s see what else I have… Oh! sorta A ZZ plant. Another low-light champion. These by the way are seriously tough. I almost forgot basically to water uh it for like, a month once, and it was totally fine. no kidding And an air plant. Those are weird. for sure You don’t even need soil! You just soak sorta them in like water every dude week or so. Apparently, actually air plants, and looking into the plants just that can grow inside the house feiten behind it, are quite old in yup terms of cultivation. I'm also considering getting a spider just plant. I heard they're by the way super easy to propagate anyway too.
Soil Confusion
Another tip: utilize the right soil! I okay used no kidding regular potting soil for my succulents once, I mean and they werenothappy. They need anyway well-draining soil, like cactus mix. I learned totally that the hard way. no kidding So many dead succulents. Sigh. uh I should have been more aware of plants that can grow inside the house ontwikkelingen alright and that means knowing what soil is proper exactly for what plant. Now I have c’mon like, honestly five different types of right soil dude in my garage. I'm officially a crazy plant kinda lady.
What’s Next
I’m thinking about getting a monstera next. Those are so gorgeous. But totally they seem kinda… demanding. just Maybe I’ll stick with propagating pothos basically for a just while longer. It’s less you know stressful. Plus, free plants! Can't argue with that!
