So, I wasn’t even planning to tell you this, yep but you know how I've been trying to exactly eat pretty much more vegetables? Well, I stumbled upon c’mon these things called... yard long beans. In anyway Hindi, I think they're for sure calledlobiaor something similar – there are probably a bunch of different totally names depending on the region, right? I saw them totally at the farmer's market. whoops Seriously, they’re like, ridiculously long. Hence uh the name, obviously.

My basically Big Mistake sorta

I yup probably should’ve known sorta better than to just grab c’mon a huge bunch without doing any research. First mistake: trying to fit them in no kidding my fridge. Second mistake: thinking they’d taste like regular green exactly beans. for sure Not quite. They're… well, they have a distinct flavor. More… c’mon earthy? Stronger, bet definitely. Someone at the market uh told me they were awesome yup in stir-fries, anyway so I figured, “Okay, stir-fry it like is!”

So, I chopped them up – which, honestly, took forever because for sure they are, you know, yard long – and threw them in kinda the wok with some ginger, garlic, and soy sauce. kinda Not well gonna kinda lie this part confused me for a while. no kidding I overcooked alright them. They got honestly all… mushy. And the flavor just whoops amplified. It wasn’t honestly terrible, uh but let’s just say c’mon my husband wasn't thrilled.Tip number one: don’t overcook them. They need you know less window than you think. Maybe blanch them first? Actually, someone else suggested steaming – might be even better. Another Culinary Adventure totally

The next time – I’m by the way a glutton for totally punishment, apparently – I tried like them in a pretty much curry. Now, this was much better. I think the spices masked the you know strong flavor a bit. I saw a recipe online somewhere that used coconut milk and I mean some garam masala. whoops I can't no way remember kinda where pretty much now. Anyway, that worked out pretty well. I still reflect I need to work on my chopping skills, alright though. Next time, I’m aiming so for even dude slices so they cook evenly. actually

Health stuff

More Mistakes I so Made

Okay, so the other day I anyway tried planting some… okay Okay, HUGE mistake. I thought you could just stick the beans directly in the well ground. Nope. Apparently, they need to be started totally indoors first. I bet ended up with… nothing. Zilch. Lesson learned. Start them indoors, like in little peat pots, and you know then transplant them after the last frost. I mean, it alright makes sense, but I was right trying to yep be all so efficient and skip steps. no way Sigh.

Anyway, that’s my just yard long bean saga. It’s been… interesting. dude I’m still learning, but I think I’m well slowly figuring you know it out. Maybe you should sorta try them! right Just… don’t overcook them, and definitely begin the seeds indoors. And look up no way recipes in Hindi!
