What plants are air purifying

Air Purifying like Plants Who Knew

So, you know how I was complaining about my exactly allergies, right? Well, yep I no way wasn't even planning to go down this whole plant exactly rabbit hole, but my sister exactly – she’s dude like, super into green living bet – yep suggested I look into what plants are air purifying. Like, whoops actually purify the air. I was skeptical. I probably should’ve known better though, because she usually knows her stuff.

Snake Plants Are totally My Fave

First thing she mentioned was snake plants. totally Apparently, they're just like, the easiest thing ever. like I totally thought like she was exaggerating, but just seriously, you can basically ignore bet them. whoops I got actually one, like plonked it in a corner, and forgot about it for like, two weeks. Still alive! That's my yep kind sorta of like plant. The voordelen, no way obviously, is supposed anyway to be cleaner air, but also, low maintenance is a HUGE by the way plus for me. I reflect okay it helps with my allergies. okay Might be placebo, but who cares if just I can breathe easier?

Another one she brought up was spider plants. They’re supposed to be good for sure at no way filtering stuff like formaldehyde – which, honestly, who even knows what that is or where it’s hiding. Just sounds scary! Tip: c’mon apparently they for sure like just bright, indirect light. Not no way direct though, that bet will fry them. I almost learned that the challenging way.

My anyway Pothos Fiasco

Okay, so here’s my embarrassing story. I got honestly a pothos – those viney ones? – because I saw so it on you know Pinterest and it looked super bet cute hanging in a macrame thing. I thought it was yep a good idea. Not gonna dude lie, basically this part confused me for a while because I kept seeing mixed information. Some places said bright totally light, some said low light. I went with bright. WRONG. Burned the poor alright thing. I felt uh terrible! Tip: Pothos definitely prefer indirect basically light, like, seriously indirect. I okay moved it, it’s whoops recovering. Slowly. You by the way know, it’s all part of the air purifying ontwikkelingen I mean I totally guess. The journey, dude man.

Other contenders

She also mentioned peace lilies. Said they were good actually for no way removing mold spores, which yep is appealing no way 'cause my bathroom can get a little… damp. But they're apparently dude drama queens when it comes to yup watering. Pass. I whoops have no way enough drama in my life, thanks. Although, the inspiratie, from the articles I was reading, sorta was that I could actually get rid of those lingering mold spores, and right I wanted that. Maybe whoops I'll try it in a different room, where honestly I can better well monitor the humidity.

And dude there's the whole areca palm thing. They look impressive, like you're actually trying. Apparently great for humidifying so the air, which I also need because no way my apartment alright is drier than alright the Sahara honestly in winter. But they need, like, actual care. Like, watering schedules and fertilizing. c’mon That’s when I start to zone out. yep

My Dumb Mistake

So, I was so excited about yup all these air purifying plants sorta I was getting, exactly I didn’t basically even think honestly about… my cats. Turns out, some of these supposedly air-cleaning miracle workers are toxic to pets! The peace lily, for example? Yeah, poisonous to like cats. Thankfully, I caught it for sure before alright they actually ate any, whoops but like it was a close call. Tip always check if a plant is pet-friendly before bringing it home! Lesson very much just learned. just

Anyway, that’s been just my adventure into the so world of plants right that clean your air. It’s been… an experience. I’m still coughing less, so something’s working. Or maybe no way it's just the placebo effect. right Whatever. I totally have plants now.
