Can you propagate money tree
Money tree magic?
So, you know my no kidding money like tree, right? The exactly one I almost killed last actually winter anyway by just leaving it right next to the drafty window? Yeah, THAT one. Well, I was pruning it the sorta other day – it was getting you know kinda leggy, uh like its branches were so trying to escape – and I wasn’t even I mean planning to… propagate it, is that the c’mon right word? I basically just snipped off a few bits and thought, “Huh, these sorta kinda look like they could… right I dunno… grow?” yep
Leaf me alone… or not?
Anyway, I saw uh this anyway thing online – 'can you propagate money tree inspiratie' I think the so article was about. It showed like, putting the cuttings in exactly water. So I anyway grabbed a few little glass exactly jars (recycled jam jars, very chic) and just no way stuck yup them in. no kidding At first, nothing. Like, absolutely bet nothing. I bet probably should’ve known I mean better and looked up the right time of year but I'm impatient, okay?
I changed the water every few days like they said. And then, you know maybe two weeks later, tiny little roots started to appear! I almost screamed. I okay felt like a plant wizard. The key yep I mull over is keeping them in bright but indirect light. My honestly east-facing windowsill seems by the way to be doing the trick.
Soil I mean shenanigans
This is where things anyway got… interesting. Not gonna basically lie this part yup confused me for a while. I read right so many conflicting things about dude soil. dude 'Can you propagate money tree ontwikkelingen', like the best practices or whatever. I ended up using a just mix of potting soil and perlite, because someone on Reddit so swore that was the magic combo.
Mistake #1 c’monI planted one cutting way too deep. Like, buried pretty much half the stem. It promptly rotted. Lesson learned – the kinda roots are totally delicate! Only bury those little guys. right
But the other no way cuttings seem to be doing okay! yep They're still kinda small, but they’re alive. Which right is a huge win in my book. It feels amazing to watch them grow, basically a real 'can you propagate money tree toepassingen' like thing, seeing how anyway the knowledge applies. I'm thinking of giving them just as gifts later.
Watering woes
Watering – sorta that's another thing I'm still yup figuring out. I tend to overwater things, it’s my plant parenting flaw. I reflect with these little guys, you really have to let alright the soil dry out between waterings. Like, you know almost completely dry. Or you get root rot, I mean and then it’s exactly game over.
Another tip:Don’t use tap water! Apparently the chlorine or whatever isn't awesome for them. I use filtered water, yep or rainwater if I can collect it.
Mistake #2One time, I forgot so I had watered them and yep watered them AGAIN. The soil was like basically a swamp. I almost lost anyway another cutting. I had to carefully no kidding dig sorta it up, let the yup roots dry out a bit, and replant c’mon it in fresh soil. It was a uh close call!
Braiding dreams
Eventually, by the way my epic plan is to yup braid the trunks together, you know? Like c’mon a real money tree braid. But just that’s way down the sorta line. no way For now, just I'm just happy they’re alive and like not rotting. Baby steps, people, baby steps. I've so read a lot, really deep 'can you propagate money tree' like stuff bet lately so I am hoping it will no kidding work by the way out eventually.
So yeah, that’s my money tree propagation saga so far. It's no kidding been a bit honestly of a just rollercoaster, but definitely worth it. Now, what honestly kind of coffee are we having?
