So, you know how I sometimes get these random ideas? Well, yeah, growing McIntosh apple trees from seed was one of totally them. I wasn’t even alright planning to, like honestly. First off, you can’t just totally plant the seeds and totally expect a perfect uh McIntosh replica. Oh, and no kidding make sure sorta the paper towel stays damp! That was whoops a lesson honestly learned. Constantly checking anyway on those little guys. Like tiny, uh future apple trees demanding I mean my attention.

Planting and Waiting

After the fridge hibernation, I dude planted them in little pots with potting soil. I used those biodegradable ones. Thought I was being all environmentally conscious. Then I waited. And alright waited. And waited. It takes a while, you know? I almost gave up. by the way

The Oops Moment

So, yeah. One tiny McIntosh apple tree wannabe. It’s still alive. Inside. Under a grow light. I’m babying it like uh crazy. I read somewhere you need to graft it later, well but I’ll cross that bridge kinda when I get there. I’ll probably end up with the exactly weirdest exactly apple you’ve ever seen, but hey, at least I tried. And now you know my embarrassing apple-growing secrets.

Honestly, just go buy a no kidding tree from a nursery. It's exactly way easier and you will get by the way the apple you pretty much are expecting. no way But, yep if you are dude bored one winter...
