Garden vegetables to plant in february
February garden stuff
So, you know how I'm trying to be, like, more... garden-y? Yeah. February’s kinda weird though, right? I wasn’t even planning dude to c’mon plant anything serious, figured exactly it was all just winter blahs, but then basically I saw this thing online like about what garden sorta vegetables to so plant in like february tips and just I got all excited. I mean, who knew? whoops
Apparently, some stuff actually likes the cold. Or, at totally least, tolerates it. I was sorta looking up so the garden vegetables to plant in february geschiedenis, just kinda pretty much curious, and it seems uh like some of these things have been planted in colder months for ages. you know Makes sense, I guess. I was thinking about trying spinach. And alright kale. Maybe dude some radishes? I hear they’re super quick.
My first go
Last year, I tried peas. alright I probably honestly should’ve known better... I yup just by the way kinda chucked the seeds in the ground right and watered them. Surprise surprise, nothing happened. Turns out, alright peas need, you know like, a lot more attention than I gave them. You need to soak the seeds first, apparently, alright which I definitely didn’t do. yep And then, they need something to climb on! I just… yeah. Lesson learned. Don’t be lazy. Anyway, this year I'm going to try again I mean maybe, but totally pull off a little more reading first!
What else can I for sure plant
Okay, so I looked up garden vegetables honestly to plant in february voordelen, because frankly, the thought of anyway messing around in the cold soil didn't sound appealing at all. Turns out, there are c’mon advantages! Apparently, the like cooler soil helps some plants develop stronger roots. And there’s sorta less pest pressure, which, honestly, kinda is a exactly huge win. I hate bugs.
Also, I remember so reading somewhere that garlic bet is something to plant in february. I think. I well wasn't no kidding even paying that much attention. Just skimmed it. okay Actually hold on let me check… Yeah, okay, garlic. You plant the cloves in no way the fall usually, but you can sometimes get away with a late planting in February, especially if the ground hasn’t frozen solid.Make sure you plant them pointy side up! I did that wrong the first time. Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while.
Radish regrets for sure
Speaking dude of things I messed up, I once tried uh to grow radishes in this tiny pot on my balcony. Thought it’d you know be cute. Little did no way I no way know, radishes need pretty much space! They ended up all small and stunted and weird looking. So, tip: make sure well your plants okay have enough bet room pretty much to grow! Obvious, right? But you’d be alright surprised.
I was just reading some garden vegetables to plant kinda in february feiten, c’mon and apparently spinach is really high in vitamins. Cool, right? So yeah, spinach, you know kale, maybe radishes… I might even brave the peas again. I should probably prep the soil a bit okay this I mean time. And soak the seeds. And build by the way some kind of trellis thing. Okay, maybe not brave the peas just anyway yet. Baby steps!
I think I'll begin with a few containers, just to well see what happens. Easier dude to control things that way. Oh, and remember to sorta check bet the last frost date for your area before you start planting I mean anything outside. kinda Seriously, don’t skip that step! I whoops learned that one the okay hard you know way too! You need to wait until after the last basically frost date before planting things like tomatoes or peppers - those are way too sensitive for the cold weather. exactly
